Once again I have tried my best to see all of this year’s Best Picture nominees ahead of the Academy Awards. Unfortunately, Vice is not available to see either in any theaters near here or online, so I wasn’t able to get to that one, but I do have my thoughts on the other 7.

Another year is coming to a close, but there are still a lot of exciting new videos arriving at the library all month long. There’s a little horror, some action, a lot of drama, several fun family films, a documentary, a dash of comedy, and one of the year’s surprise breakout hits (hint: it’s based on a comic book).
Facebook uses sophisticated algorithms to show you what they think you are most interested in seeing. Of course, no matter how much they tweak them it is still likely that it might not show you everything you want.
Do you love classic movies, foreign films, and independent cinema? Then we have some exciting news for you! The library is pleased to announce that we are now offering our patrons access to Kanopy, a streaming service that offers a wide variety of great movies, documentaries, and TV shows from all over the world.
