How to Use the AFPL’s New York Times Online Subscription from Home

Last week we announced that Avalon Free Public Library patrons now have unlimited full access to the New York Times online service. Below are step by step instructions on how to access it from home:

1.) Click here to go to the AFPL’s New York Times Online access page.

2.) After entering your library card number, click “Submit” then click “Redeem Code” on the next page.

3.) Create a login if it’s the first time you are accessing the New York Times. If you have used this through the library previously, use the same login you created the first time to sign in.

NOTE: For 72 hours your login provides unlimited access to the New York Times main site NYTIMES.com. After your 72 hour session expires, return to this library page to redeem another code and begin another 72 hour session.

Happy reading!

About Avalon Free Public Library

Avalon is a bustling little shore town in southern NJ. Our small population of 1800 expands to about 30,000 at the height of summer. We like to think that we serve them all and then some! Our goal is to make our library available to our patrons wherever they may roam.
