Certified appraiser Arthur Schwerdt of August Farmhouse in Swainton will be here to offer professional appraisals for your antiques and collectibles in the Multipurpose room at the elementary school. Registration is required by calling Linda Duffy (609)967-5900 x3157 or email lduffy@avalonboro.org. MAXIMUM OF THREE (3) ITEMS PER PERSON. Please specify number of items when registering. Avalon property owners may register on September 29. All others may register on October 10. No registration is required for observers. This program is free (for appraisals also) and open to the public.


November Programs Preview

In this class, participants will create a felted garden gnome using the wet felting techniques of sculpting wool roving (long bundles of sheep’s wool fibers) in hot water and soap to create a basic gnome shape. Then using the dry needle felting technique, participants will adorn their gnomes with faces, beards and clothing. This is a Level 2 class. Participants must have previous felting experience. Registration is required by calling 609-967-5900 x 3157. Avalon property owners may register on October 3. All others may register on October 17.

Learn the basics of Office 2013/2016, particularly Word and OneNote, along with other productivity apps available for Windows 10. Register to use a library computer or your own computer or tablet. Registration is required by calling 609-967-7155 or stopping by the circulation desk.

The iOS brings a few changes to the iPad. Join us to see what they are and how they will work for you. Be sure you have your Apple ID and password. with Basket maker Gail Donaghy | Ages 18+ | Gail will provide instructions for a holiday color basket and help students make their own. All supplies are included in this workshop. About Avalon Free Public Library

Avalon is a bustling little shore town in southern NJ. Our small population of 1800 expands to about 30,000 at the height of summer. We like to think that we serve them all and then some! Our goal is to make our library available to our patrons wherever they may roam.
