AFPL App of the Week: Librarian

Have you ever been in a situation where you were trying to do work but there were other people in the room being too loud for you to focus? Well, theres an app for that! This week’s App of the Week is Librarian, an app that shushes people if they get too loud. It works like this:

“This application monitors the sound levels in your current environment in real-time, plays an alert when the sound level passes a pre-set limit, and then saves the alert’s sensitivity value and trigger time to a history list that the user can maintain.”

via Ari Braginsky » “Librarian v2.3.0″ – Mobile software engineer specializing in iOS and related technologies.

So this app may not be the next Google or Snapchat, but it’s definitely fun to play with (especially if you are a librarian!)

About Avalon Free Public Library

Avalon is a bustling little shore town in southern NJ. Our small population of 1800 expands to about 30,000 at the height of summer. We like to think that we serve them all and then some! Our goal is to make our library available to our patrons wherever they may roam.
